Our Process
How It Works
1. View upcoming schedule & sign-up:
We have both virtual and (coming soon) in-person lesson plans that teens and young adults can take part in. For virtual sessions, regardless of age, you can simply view our calendar (below) and sign-up for any upcoming session you would like to attend. All classes are approximately one (1) hour and will also have time for a Q&A session at the end. Our virtual sessions use Zoom (you do not need a Zoom account to attend, join as Guest). Parents are encouraged to join with their young students!
In-person, afterschool programs have a specific lesson plan curated for the participants, as those programs last for weeks at a time. There will be a dedicated sign-up for the in-person afterschool program.
2. Register for customized lessons:
If you are interested in curating your own educational plan for a student based on the lessons we offer, you can select the subjects you want included and we can facilitate that for you. Customized lessons do not have a scheduled date, but you are able to provide the participant’s availability so that a schedule can be created for you. Please keep in mind - each subject you select is one (1) hour, and lesson plans curated with more than two (2) subjects will need to be provided on multiple days. Also, customized learning plans are only available as virtual sessions (not yet available for in-person facilitation).
3. Virtual field trips & guest speakers:
We have partnered with many different social influencers and community leaders who have offered their time to speak to our program participants on relevant subject matter - and in some cases, these individuals have offered to provide our program with “shadow” experiences so that we can see behind the scenes details of what they do. These types of experiences will be extremely valuable for teens and young adults thinking about going into certain career fields, as they will have firsthand accounts from industry leaders to learn from!
All of these speakers, even if in-person, will be made available to virtual participants as well. So, when you see that a guest speaker or experience is scheduled, please sign-up!
4. Surveys and feedback sessions:
Getting feedback from our teens, young adults, and parents is vital - parent involvement is one of the reasons why we started ANTI-Woke EDU. Twice a month we will have virtual open forum feedback sessions that anyone who has attended a program can join. During these sessions, we want to learn about things we can do better, how your teen is responding to the learning, things we should add, etc. - our goal is to make a positive impact on the students and young adults, so we will make ourselves available to as much feedback as you are willing to provide!
A “Thank You” From Ramón
Our programs are Free, thanks to the support from people like you! Sign-up for free below, and if you can, consider donating to AWE to support the next wave of leaders!
